The Partner Prenatal Strategy seeks to include the male population in the routine of the services offered in Primary Care, starting with the prenatal consultation. With this in mind, the nurse, as a member of the health team, has a key role to play in attracting and welcoming men, making it possible for this strategy to be implemented. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, in which 11 nurses took part after approval by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Juazeiro do Norte (CEP/FJN), with opinion number: 2.058.154. The results showed that the nurses realize the importance of men's participation during prenatal care, especially because it strengthens the father-mother-child bond. However, they reported that they were unaware of the Partner Prenatal Care Strategy. It was noted that most men do not attend prenatal appointments due to the unavailability of time as a result of working hours. As for the actions offered to men during prenatal care, general guidance on baby care was observed.
