Monique Rivera is the author and illustrator of "Partnering With Jesus"! Monique and her husband have been blessed with three beautiful daughters who fill their hearts with love and keep their lives ever so interesting. Monique and her family regularly come together at night to participate in their typical one-verse kid's Bible devotionals. However, to answer the "how", "when" and "why" questions her kids were asking, she found herself constantly going back to the chapters in the Bible where those verses came from and sharing the important background information. Reading the chapters in a kid-friendly translation really helped her kids understand and connect to the important lessons, key characters, and ultimately understand how these stories applied to their lives. Monique has had such wonderful moments sitting with her family and having real discussions with her kids about Jesus. Getting to hear their perspectives, stories, and experiences, made her heart overflow with joy! She wanted to keep these precious moments forever! So, she began recording their responses in books wherever she could find a blank space. After taking a huge step of faith and walking away from a stable career in Graphic Design, a series of unexpected opportunities crossed her path - which can only be explained as "divine intervention". It wasn't long before God put a special project on her heart, leading her to do something she never would have imagined... writing and illustrating her very own Kid's Bible Devotional!
