John McCann is a native of Northern Ireland. This, his first book, is the culmination of four years research and writing which has involved him visiting Normandy, North Carolina and Washington DC. He has built up a close relationship with many of the 82nd's veterans and now plays an active part in the conservation of the Division's history.
