Autorenporträt
This book is written by two men, a psychotherapist and a physician, who are coming to terms with their lives as older white males in the U.S. They examine how they have unintentionally contributed to sexism and racism. They also explore the reasons older white men have had difficulty relinquishing power and adapting to the profound changes in society. By talking with other older men and investigating prominent public figures, they discovered multiple reasons beyond the obvious, "I got mine" mentality. Be prepared for a journey to the inner sanctum of men, exposing their psychological, social, and spiritual strengths and vulnerabilities. By understanding them we can help them make the transition to a new age where they can remain relevant but make room for others (younger men, women, and minorities) to lead us into a sustainable, brighter future.
