In today's world, safety of vehicle and the occupant of vehicle, has become a necessity and a great challenge to the automotive designers and manufacturers. In recent time more emphasis has been given to passenger cars and small transport vehicles. Safety features for longer vehicle, like long distance buses, have always been a subject of secondary importance. Since buses are the major mode of transportation in India safety aspects in buses are of immense importance. Since for Buses, rollover is the most dangerous accident, in this project various passive restraint systems for sleeper coach passengers have been designed. Through simulations these systems have been evaluated for their effectiveness in reducing passenger injuries in case of rollover and frontal impact accidents.
