Dr. Melvin Von Wade, Sr. is pastor emeritus of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California, where he served faithfully for 42 years. Rev. Wade preaches around the country and presently serves as Helper-Spiritual Advisor to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California, where Rev. Dr. E. V. Hill served faithfully as Pastor before the Lord called him to his home in Heaven. M. V. Wade, Sr. is also an internationally known preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, author, and Gospel songwriter who served on the board of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. He is the descendant of a rich legacy of preaching embodied within his father Rev. James Commodore Wade, Sr. He is the husband of Jacquie G. Wade, father of two successful preaching sons, Pastor David L. Wade and Rev. Melvin Von Wade, Jr. He also cherishes his daughter Susaun Wade, and grandchildren. Mostly, he is a born-again Christian with a charismatic character that draws many to his love for Christ and Christ's church.
