Patello-femoral pain syndrome is one of the common knee pains. Conventional exercises are used since long to treat pain. VMO training in various positions along with advanced variations helps in realigning the patella from mal-tracking and has a strong influence on both the kneecap and knee stability. Taping technique corrects abnormal patellar tracking and reduces stress on knee during activity. Thus, both VMO training and patellar taping are effective in management of patella-femoral pain syndrome but VMO training is found to be more effective.
