Simon Vandekerckhove is a historian who spent his young life growing up in the city of Bruges. As soon as he was old enough to leave the nest he spent a few years abroad studying in Cádiz, Spain, teaching English in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working on farms around Australia and backpacking through South America. Throughout his extensive journeys, the sym- bolism and coincidences he's experienced have been too com- pelling to relegate to chance and have widened his perspective, not only to the physical world but also - and more importantly - to the spiritual world. As a quieter life has now settled around him and time has granted him over thirty years, he feels it's both his duty and obligation to share the lessons bestowed upon him during his years of travel and provide some guidance to others who are ready to cross the threshold of their comfort zone in search of exploration and adventure. Joseph De La Cruz grew up in Boulder, Colorado, a graduate of a K-12 bilingual Spanish education program and the University of Colorado, Boulder with a bachelors in International Relations and Italian. He is a traveler of worlds, constantly asking big picture questions as he seeks meaningful answers to better understand the universe in which he lives. Forced on the road following the death of his mother in search of answers to life's greatest mysteries this book represents the wisdom and experience gained throughout his year long adventure in South America. Embracing new perspectives on life after fulfilling his mission, Joey shares what he learned with the hope his words will inspire others to live and create the life of their dreams.
