After Trials of Love, Matt, Emily and their adopted daughters, Paula and Beverley, have reason to believe the influence of the 'Dastardly Davieses' is no more, but they are wrong. Deep in Paula's soul is that dreadful day when, as a young child, she was abducted. She throws herself into work to bury that day, but when her boss and mentor resigns, things change. Is her new, kind and considerate boyfriend what she needs to turn things around, or are the Davieses still lurking in the background?

Autorenporträt
Dennis Loynes was born in 1949 and has spent his whole life in the rural wonder that is Worcestershire. He retired from his job as a director of a small group of motor dealers in 2008. He loved his job and is loving retirement. He achieved an honours degree in Social Science in 2013 and has since discovered the thrill of creative writing. He is a member of Worcester Writers Circle and in 2016 he had short stories published in Figures in the Mist and Windmills and Paper Boats. Trials of Love is his first novel. When he isn't writing, Dennis enjoys tennis, badminton, jogging and duplicate bridge. Whilst the sports activities are now more social than anything else, the bridge is still fiercely competitive.
