David Metzger is a retired practicing attorney, author, and writer. He lives with his wife, Christine, in Reston, Virginia. His published works include hundreds of lectures given while in practice, numerous articles, and a business book: "While the Nation Slept: The Struggles of Innovative Small Businesses in the U. S." "Patrick: The Adventures of an Early American Boy, a historical fiction, provides young readers historical information about the origins of our country in an entertaining way.Robert Fowler, the Illustrator, is a self-taught painter and lives on Michigan with his wife, Rona. He has numerous paintings, most, though not all, of cowboys and scenes of the Western United States. He has illustrated other young reader books. Fowler has received numerous awards for his art and some are included in major collections.
