Educating the sovereign, that is, what is called the people, means promoting their empowerment, their emancipation, for which it is necessary to favor their autonomy and critical capacity, giving them the tools to become responsible citizens, committed and capable of actively participating in the transformation of society, the State and the social order. Paulo Freire is the educator who proposes an education of liberation and hope for Latin America, especially in the face of the educational schemes of international organizations, which through educational reforms conceived education as an instrument of coverage and training of citizens subjected to the interests of groups with hegemonic power and exploitation of the labor force; therefore, his bet is to form a critical, active, committed citizenship, capable of participating in the transformation of reality, which is fundamental to achieve a true democracy.
