Carson Stanton, a 24-year-old Florida native, was raised in Tampa by her parents. At the age of 12 her father passed away, leaving her to be raised by a single mother who makes a living as a middle school teacher. In school Stanton always gravitated towards English and reading, her love for stories started at an early age. The Paw Print Puppy series originated as an assignment she wrote when in second grade. She uses writing as a voice to prove she is as mentally capable as anyone else even though she is wheelchair-bound because she has Cerebral Palsy. She hopes to also bring volume to other voices who have been marginalized.
