One day not so long ago, Paw Print Puppy was busy running circles in his backyard. He was practicing his new super speed, when he heard a car pull up in the driveway. "Paw Print, it's time for you to come inside. We have someone here we'd like you to meet," his mom called to him. Inside, Paw Print saw an older lady who was smiling down at him. Next to her was a small fluffy puppy, who was shivering a little bit. "Hi, I'm Paw Print." He extended his paw in the air. The shivering puppy looked Paw Print up and down. Nervously, he bumped his paw with Paw Print's. "Hi, I'm Chompy."

Autorenporträt
Carson Stanton, a 24-year-old Florida native, was raised in Tampa by her parents. At the age of 12 her father passed away, leaving her to be raised by a single mother who makes a living as a middle school teacher. In school Stanton always gravitated towards English and reading, her love for stories started at an early age. The Paw Print Puppy series originated as an assignment she wrote when in second grade. She uses writing as a voice to prove she is as mentally capable as anyone else even though she is wheelchair-bound because she has Cerebral Palsy. She hopes to also bring volume to other voices who have been marginalized.
