Autorenporträt
Paul McGoran lives in Newport, Rhode Island. In his life before fiction, he was a laboratory technician, a Russian language interpreter for the U. S. Navy, a career marketing executive, a management consultant, and a day trader. As a writer in the crime genre since 2005, his inspiration comes in equal parts from spending way too much time watching black and white film noir from the forties and fifties, and from reading way too many hard-boiled detective stories. A short story by Paul, The Thanks You Get, was published by the U.K. webzine PulpPusher. Besides Made for Murder, he has a second novel available, The Breastplate of Faith and Love, which carries forward many of the same characters from the first novel and introduces a series P. I. named Stafford Boyle. He is currently working on a third novel, Sooner or Later, Delicate Death, which takes Stafford Boyle back to his old hometown to solve the revenge murder of the bully who terrorized his childhood.
