"Paying the Piper his Dues" is a true story told through the eyes of a major hustler who left the game in his prime. I was faced with a dilemma which was play the hand I was dealt or give up and fall prey to the streets. As a youngster I saw the local hustlers getting money and all of the girls this only fueled my fire. As a result I became fascinated with the game, I thought this would be my ticket to the American dream and my way out of the hood. Nobody told me glitter and glim ain't what it seem and everything you get from the game the price you must pay in return is too high. I was expelled from High School, went to jail and labeled. Thank God for my mother, and the Hank-Lady I finished High School and went on to graduate from Alabama State University. Nobody told me the life I chose would be easy, but nobody told it would be this hard. Thanks to my street teachers Shoe Strang, and Mike I was able to take the game by a storm. I lost a lot to the game for example, my first love, my homeboys, and most of all my childhood. It was hard for me for me to leave the game not because of the money but because I was concern about the people who dependent on me to feeding their families. I thank God I was able to leave the game. To all my youngster steer clear of the game because in the end the price is too high to pay take it from me.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
My name is Mario but I'm known as Bucketdog. I'm twenty-five years old from Cantonment Fl. I'm the youngest of five siblings. Coming up as a youngster in the hood I was fascinated with the game and it's character. I came from a good family having both of my parents to raise me. It was the American dream, my 64 chevy, and my fascination about the game that pulled me in. I took the game by a storm to become a major player in the game. I had some bad hands dealt to me but by the grace of God, my family, the Hank Lady and my street teachers like Shoe Strang I was able to leave the game at my highest stage. The reason I wrote "Paying the Piper His Dues" is because it's a unique story that needed to be told. I wanted to show everybody especially young kids coming up in the ghetto's or hoods to steer clear of hustling, because glitter and gleam ain't what it seems because the price to enter the game is too high to pay. I also wanted to show them you could make it even though you fall down. All you have to do is set your goals and go after them but the most important thing is to keep your faith in God. In "Pay the Piper his dues" I tell my life story from beginning to end. Throughout the book I had to over come trails and tribulations one faces when they are raised in the hood. I went against the odds, paid the Piper some of his dues and made it. I consider myself as a legend because I was a normal young man who took what he was given and succeeded. Even though I was kicked out of high school, stigmatized, went to jail and was a major player in the game I still was able to finish college and leave the game to become legit.
