This article, which is the final paper of the distance learning course "Sustainable Development" of the Comenius Institute Münster with supplements, deals with "Education for Sustainable Development". The field of learning and the space for action emerged as early as 1992 and became a guiding principle with the "World Decade of Education for Sustainable Development" 2005-2014.Peace learning as a sub-area starts from socio-political framework conditions in which adolescents and adults grow up and live. The developments are the starting point of perspectives for a peace policy that need to be improved. This results in the demand for a contemporary peace education and thus a culture of peace. Attention must also be paid to the conditions of socialisation, interculturality, political education and the approach to social justice.
