The main objective of this research was to develop pedagogical strategies applied for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) aimed at university level education students in the municipality of Ezequiel Zamora, Cojedes state. The study was methodologically framed in a descriptive research, supported by a transectional field design, under the modality of feasible project. The results revealed that most of the respondents have no knowledge about STIs, prevention methods and little identification with the promotion of health as a practice of Health Education. The conclusions were: the teachers surveyed were unaware of STIs, their causes and consequences, including the fact that they can lead to death, and they were also unaware of the age groups prone to these infections.
