The study was methodologically framed in a descriptive research, supported by a transectional field design, under the modality of feasible project. The conclusions were: the teachers surveyed were unaware of STIs, their causes and consequences, including the fact that they can lead to death, and they were also unaware of the age groups prone to these infections.
