Autorenporträt
Giorgio Pajardi is full Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Università degli Studi di Milano, Milan, Italy, where he is director of various courses on hand surgery and rehabilitation. While hand surgery is his principal field of interest, he is also a specialist in peripheral nerve surgery, neuro-orthopedic surgery, and reconstructive microsurgery. His mentor was Professor Guy Foucher, and Professor Pajardi adheres to the French School's emphasis on hand surgery and hand rehabilitation as synergistic pillars of treatment. Professor Pajardi is the author of approximately 221 national and international publications and is a regular lecturer at national and international congresses, and 18 books. He is a member of the Italian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Italian Society of Hand Surgery, and the International Federation of Hand Surgery Societies the European Federation of Hand Surgery Societies and Italian Osciety of Microsurgery and ASSH American Society for the Surgery of the Hand. He is also President of Centro Studi Mano, a cultural not for profit foundation whose statutory goal is to promote teaching and improve career pathways for young students and Associazione La Mano del Bambino, assisting babies, children and their Families.
