Sarcomas represent a diverse group of cancers which may originate from bone or soft tissue. Pediatric malignancies account for the second largest cause of death in children, after accidental trauma. Thus, there is a need to recognize these enigmatic group of tumors in order to institute timely treatment. A thorough knowledge of the natural history, clinical appearance, imaging findings and histopathology will facilitate diagnosis and assure appropriate management. Thus, this book attempts to provide a deeper insight into the common pediatric soft tissue sarcomas with special emphasis on diagnostic approach and treatment algorithms.
