Being a police officer myself who has served in the J&K police, I was keen to document the life and work of Peer Sahib, who is an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication in order to motivate other officers in the J&K police force. He graciously agreed to a series of interviews on which the book, written in the oral history style, is based in which he shared his thoughts about his upbringing and anecdotes about his personal and professional life. This book is mainly based on the events which occurred from the perspectives of a police officer.
