Julie Patterson was born in Brisbane, in Queensland, and grew up in Sale, Victoria. She has always aspired to write children's books and has always been particularly inspired by Roald Dahl's literature. She grew up with her mum, step dad and two brothers. In recent years she found her sisters from her dad's side of the family. Her working career was mainly in the banking and finance industry. In the last eight years, she has changed direction and joined the corrections/justice industry. She is happily married and striving to have multiple books published.
