Penn State New Kensington, located 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is one of twenty-four campuses that make up The Pennsylvania State University. The campus has an enrollment of 1,000 and offers a master's degree program, seven bachelor's degree programs, and eight associate's degree programs as well as seven men's and women's sports. The New Kensington campus was founded in 1958 as a result of a study of the local need for higher education in the Alle Kiski Valley.
