Autorenporträt
Teaching is Sandi's greatest passion. At the age of seventeen, she received her Water Safety Instructor's certification, and since then, she has taught hundreds of children to swim and feel comfortable in the water. While a student at Arizona State University, she taught 5th and 6th grade math and science. After receiving her Juris Doctor's degree, from Western State College of Law at Westcliff University, she was the editor for the publication, "Speaking of Legal Aid." This publication, a product of Orange County California's Legal Aid Society, was dedicated to explaining the law to non-lawyers. She now teaches law, and college success classes, at Florida SouthWestern State College, in Fort Myers, Florida. She has also taught law at Florida Southern College, South Florida Community College; and has lectured, on the law, at University of California, Irvine. She has authored four law textbooks: Essentials of Florida Real Estate Law; Media and Entertainment Law, and Law and the Hospitality Industry--editions One and Two. While living in Hawaii, she published three magazines; dedicated to educating the business community of Hawaii, and imparting Hawaiian cultural information to Hawaii visitors. She has received Small Business Association awards for Media Advocate and Women in Business Advocate, for the County of Hawaii. She has traveled extensively. One of the stops along her travels was the Galapagos Islands. There she fell in love with its wildlife, especially the penguins of the islands.
