Autorenporträt
Like many other authors, Joseph Johnson wrote his first children's stories for his own son and daughter when they were very young. His published work only came along after a long career as a musician, operatic tenor, cabaret singer and business owner. Songwriting evolved into poetry and his lifelong hobby of oil painting morphed into illustrating his own written works. His love of music and art are often fused together with his turn of phrase and sense of humour in his writing.
