Operational stoppages reduce the total produced, preventing the daily and monthly targets from being reached, making the cost of the product very high and hindering competitiveness in the market. With this in mind, the aim of this article is to analyze the flaws in the operational procedures and propose a reduction in the number of operational stoppages in the beam exit area of the long steel rolling mill at SINOBRAS by creating and implementing operational standards. The methodological procedure used was a quantitative and qualitative approach using bibliographical research, field research using structured interviews and participant observation. We will reduce the time of operational stoppages in the bundle exit area of the Rolling Mill at SINOBRAS after finishing the work, increasing the productivity of the area.
