The present study was conducted in the Bhiwani and Yamunanagar districts of Haryana state. Eight villages were selected randomly i.e. Bhaganwala-Sawad-Salapur-Dhanaura as watershed villages and Kharkhadisohan-Missri-Bihta-Sabhapur as non-watershed villages. Twenty respondents from each village were selected randomly for the study, having a total sample of 160 respondents. The specific objectives of the present study were (1) To study the extent of people's participation in the process of implementation of Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) (2) To study the impact of IWMP activities in the project area (3) To study the association of personal variable of respondents and their association with the level of participation (4) To identify the constraints perceived by the respondents in implementation of programme.
