The main objectives of this work are to develop simple peptide or peptidomimetic-based naked eye colorimetric as well as fluorescent probes for the selective detection of various biologically and environmentally relevant analytes, including fluoride, arsenic, hydrazine, the most essential part of life, water, etc. Here we also focused on the selective detection of environmentally hazardous acid (acid rain) and life-threatening nitro-explosives. We have also used the supramolecular polymer formation concept to fabricate the probe for the detection of different hazardous as well as biologically and environmentally relevant analytes.
