Pequeñas Perlas is a bilingual companion book to Pearls ~ Parenting Practices. Perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners, Pequeñas Perlas has both Spanish and English rhyming verse, with beautiful calming illustrations and important messages for both the child and parent/caregiver or teacher. Questions for discussion at the back of the book will help to inspire meaningful conversations and connections. Just as a pearl is formed over time, beginning with a tiny grain of sand, a child evolves gradually and is shaped by the countless experiences he or she has from birth to adulthood. Our hope is to foster healthy development, allow for a broad realization of potential, and encourage a life-long love of reading.

Autorenporträt
Lisa Guy is a graduate of UC San Diego with a BA in Communications, a past business co-owner, and mother of five. From a young age, Lisa has had an interest in people and their development - especially young children. After her third child was born, she stopped working outside the home and immersed herself in the lives of little ones. This book is a culmination of her efforts and experiences. Her belief in the collaborative process has brought many voices together to exemplify a myriad of ideas and valuable parenting principles. Lisa believes that the best way to ensure that a child will develop into a happy and productive adult is to have committed and supportive parents/caregivers and community, whom he or she can trust, speak to and learn from throughout the childhood years.
