Fisseha Itanna est un citoyen éthiopien né le 25 décembre 1955 et titulaire d'un doctorat de l'université de Hohenheim en Allemagne, spécialisé dans le domaine de la science des sols. Il a été membre du corps enseignant de l'université d'Addis-Abeba jusqu'en juillet 2013 et a ensuite rejoint l'université de Namibie (UNAM). Ses recherches portent sur la fertilité des sols et la pollution de l'environnement.
