The notion of colorative vocabulary as a part of worldview is considered, the conceptual significance of the somatic vocabulary indicating shades of color in the works of A. Akhmatova and N.S. Gumilev as a part of the reconstructed model of the world around is substantiated.Theoretical significance of the research lies in the presentation of coloratives as an important part of symbolic and imaginative system of representatives of foreign cultures and in the semantic field of poetic texts of Russian literature, in the consideration of the regularity of the use and interpretation of colour epithets.The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the results in the methodological support of lectures and seminars on literary studies, culturology and linguoculturology; in the prospects of the analysis of lexical units denoting color in literature, oral folk art, in foreign language tradition.
