Leadership is the ability of a person to lead a team and direct it to achieve a goal. It is an essential component in any health institution because it is directly related to the quality of work performance. This study was conducted with the main objective of determining the perception of leadership among nursing professionals working at the San Vicente de Paúl Hospital in the city of Ibarra. It is a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study because it was conducted over a specific period of time. To determine the perception of leadership, a survey was applied to 84 nursing professionals taken as a sample of the total population, which was made up of 21 questions divided into two sections, the first aimed at collecting sociodemographic data on the population and the second section focused on leadership styles.
