The present work focused on the environmental impact of no-till combined with chemical weed control using glyphosate. The aim of this work was to assess the environmental impact of no-till farming in combination with glyphosate-based chemical weed control, with a view to the possible adoption of no-till as an alternative technique to old farming practices, while addressing social and environmental issues. First, a characterization of the performance of some cereal farms subjected to direct seeding in the wilaya of Sétif was carried out. Subsequently, the extracted results were exploited in the field in order to evaluate the environmental consequences of direct seeding under open field conditions.
