The book aimed to investigate factors that relate to performance and testing of canoe polo with completion of five research projects. The contents include heart rate, time-motion and blood lactate analysis of canoe polo game and the anthropometric characteristics of elite national team players. There was also training data of Asia players and a 6-week canoe polo training investigation. In the final project, a lab-based repeated sprint experiment was developed to mimic the motion characteristic of canoe polo and to investigate the blood lactate kinetics during this kind of exercise. It is hoped that the findings can be useful in the conditioning of elite canoe polo players by shaping the nature of the training players undergo. Potentially, canoe polo players and coaches would also save years of trial and error in their training and make their day to day training more efficient.
