This book, provides a new horizon of Performance Appraisal (TPA). My interest into inquiring about appraisal emerged from my experiences at many levels. As School Head and as Head for Regional School Development Unit, TPA was one of my major responsibilities. As a School Head I was facing challenges, I could not help teachers to realize that TPA could be a tool for improvement, because in this particular context it was seen as an assessment tool. As a result, the School Head was never in a position to give support to the teachers. The study was conducted in a secondary school in Karachi Pakistan with a purpose to identify required changes in TPA. The research was qualitative in nature using phenomenological approach. This book holds significance for various audiences; it could help Educational leadership in strengthening TPA and it could also enable Heads for Regional School Development Units, Academic Coordinators and School Heads in further improving appraisal process. And for other researchers, this book could give a kick-start on exploration of TPA as professional development tool for teachers.
