Projektarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Ingenieurwissenschaften - Allgemeines, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: The traditional method of breaking garlic bulb is very labour intensive and time consuming. Hence, a machine for separating garlic cloves is developed at CTAE, RAU, Udaipur. The machine was procured under the AICRP on PHT at CAET, JAU, Junagadh. The present study was aimed to evaluate the performance of the procured machine for clove separation of garlic commonly grown by the farmers of Saurashtra (Gujarat). The garlic bulb breaker was evaluated at three different speeds (260, 390, 520 rpm) and feed rates (144, 180, 240 kg/h). All the observations were analysed using the standard statistical procedures.
