Among various advanced chemical and physical treatment techniques, photocatalytic degradation is the only process that results in the complete mineralization of organic substances. This process is also fast, economically feasible a chemically stable. Among different semiconductor photocatalysts, there is growing interest in Titanium Oxide (TiO2) due to its low price, environmentally friendly characteristic, chemical stability and absence of toxicity. This book consists of four chapters dealing with different aspects related to the research topic. In particular, this book describes the synthesis and characterization of a new nanocrystal photocatalyst by doping copper ions in the crystalline matrix of TiO2/ZnO and investigates its performance for wastewater treatment and the degradation of two dyes, i.e. methyl blue (MB) and methylene orange (MO) dyes under visible light irradiation. This book was motivated by the desire that we and our colleagues have had to present the developments and applications in this area.
