Er ist Bauingenieur und hat sein Studium an der Bundesuniversität Campina Grande abgeschlossen. Er hat eine Leidenschaft für das Bauwesen und ist Autor mehrerer Werke zu diesem Thema, in denen er die Einführung alternativer Materialien zum Beton vorschlägt und versucht, Nachhaltigkeit und sozioökonomische Faktoren mit neuen Denkweisen im Bauwesen in Einklang zu bringen.
