Studies on cooperation in any economy proceed on the assumption of a harmony of interests and not a clash of interests obtaining in the economy. Hence, I have proceeded throughout on that assumption. Under the regime of development planning a series of positive measures are being undertaken by the State to alleviate poverty and bringabout a measure of social justice to the weaker sections of rural society. Target oriented approach is evolved for membership drive and deployment of credit.
