The purpose of exergy analysis is generally to identify the location, the source and the magnitude of true thermodynamic inefficiencies in power plants . Moreover, the results provided by exergy analysis can be used as a guide for reducing the thermodynamic inefficiencies of power plants and improving their performance. The exergy analysis needs much more attention andapplication so that the irreversibilities can be minimized and thus the systems can be operated at much higher efficiency and less emissions.
