The text you will read below contains the results of the 2021-2023 survey on the labor precariousness of performing artists in Monterrey and its metropolitan area. The study was conducted during these years in order to present a statistical overview of the precarious labor conditions that the community of performing artists lives day by day, including not only artists, but also technicians and professionals related to artistic creation. Likewise, observations, conclusions and recommendations were included to improve the conditions of the artists and as proposals for the creation and improvement of public policies whose mission is to attack the causes that provoke the state of precariousness in which this important and transcendental community of artists and professionals of the performing arts finds itself. The study was carried out under the leadership of the Observatorio Ciudadano de Arte y Cultura de Nuevo León, A.C. and sponsored by the Centro de Investigación, Innovación y Desarrollo de las Artes of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
