Perry & Perky's Fun-Filled Adventures contains ten delightful five-minute stories about Perry, a resourceful pygmy-possum, and Perky, an adventurous quokka. It is also available as two separate books in paperback, hardback, and eBook: Nobody's Friend (But that's not where it ends!) and Perry and Perky-the Adventures Continue. The 24 beautiful illustrations in the book are from watercolour paintings by acclaimed Australian artist, Emma Stuart. They include part-page, full page and double-page spreads. The book is 8 inches x 10 inches (20.3cm x 25.4cm). It has 66 pages and is available in paperback, hardback and eBook (.mobi). The Author is a former school teacher with a Master of Education degree who currently tutors in Maths and English and writes stories for children's picture books. In addition to the ongoing Perry and Perky series for younger children, she has written a full-length fairy tale for older children titled Magic? Who Needs It! - a modern fairy tale. The Author intends to tutor for many years yet because she is passionate about helping children to improve their school work and to improve their attitude towards it and themselves. Prior to writing children's stories, most of the writing the Author had done was related to her studies and work as a teacher. She did enter two caption writing competitions and won both, and while this isn't story writing, it is evidence that she can be clear, concise and humorous. She writes not just to entertain, but to subtly teach wise life lessons that are relevant no matter what age the reader is. All stories are positive, wholesome and educative.
