Autorenporträt
J. Kent Thompson loves to write about North Florida and the areas he has lived and worked in all his life. A graduate of Florida State University with a B.A. in History, he brings the people and places in North Florida alive. This is his fifteenth book. Other titles include; Remembering Florida's Forgotten Coast, Old Time Tallahassee from A to Z, North Florida Roads with Stories on the Side, Chasing Smoke: A Bucket List of the South's Best Barbecue, and Protectors of Paradise: The Origins and History of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. He also has written six semi-historical fiction stories called the Marine Patrol Tales with titles like: The Case of the Monkey Tattoo, Stuck in the Middle of Florida's Net Ban, Outlaw Fisherman, A Day in Court, Sex, Drugs and Mullet, and Dead Men Tell No Tales.
