The research proposes to analyze the theme of Personal Identity and Narrative Identity from the historical and fictional stories, from the bildungsroman in Latin American narrative, taking into account the link between time, author, narrator and the main characters of the works El Chulla Romero and Flores, El juguete rabioso and Reinaldo Solar. Personal identity is approached as that which the human being configures through the story in temporal experiences, under the narrative thesis of Paul Ricoeur. For the support of this Thesis, it is taken into account that selfhood and ipseity complement each other to build the Narrative Identity. The works of Jorge Icaza, Roberto Arlt and Rómulo Gallegos, respectively, are worked on, starting from the statement that the Narrative Identity of the subject is related to the ability of the story to create a unity of meaning in the plot and in the characters through time. Every story is a succession of variations that go from an initial situation to a final one where the Personal Identity is related to the narrated time.
