Living-OTG (Off-The-Grid) is a Self-Reliance system of living or surviving without utilizing the resources provided by the Public Utilities infrastructure. Living-OTG may refer to survival in both Urban as well as Wilderness environments, Remote or Local. More specifically, OTG-Living generally does not rely upon, or may not utilize the following: ¿ Municipal Electric Power Grid { NOTE: If THIS goes down, the rest follows! } ¿ Municipal Water Supply ¿ Municipal Sewer System ¿ Municipal Natural Gas ¿ Municipal Trash Disposal ¿ Transportation: Sea, Air, Land Transport Systems, Petrol Stations, etc. ¿ EMS: Military, Police, Fire, EMT, Hospital, etc. ¿ Communication Systems: Telephone Landline System, Mobile Telephone System, Internet, Ham Radio, etc. ¿ Retail Stores, Restaurants, Grocers ¿ Any other similar types of utility services provided by Government &/or Industry not mentioned here. The author has spent an exhaustive amount of time living an austere life, and so through his in depth R&D, was able to bring to you knowledge of the most practical items and skills needed, while also noting which are the best items found to be durable and reliable for any remote survival situation, especially Long-Term Survival.
