People in worldwide experienced many traumatic events on an on-going basis and have suffered as a result of these events. This work was to identify the effect of war and conflict on victims health, work, interpersonal relationship and life in general. This work sought to address this issue by assessing personality traits, sense of coherence, coping strategies and aggressive behaviours. The results showed that a high proportion of participants reported at least one traumatic event and significant number met full symptoms of PTSD, depression, and health problems. During my work, I have noticed that huge number of children have been exposed and continue to be exposed to trauma and armed conflict. In my coming research I will focus on the effect of exposure of trauma on children and women refugees and how that affects their personality and behaviours.
