Gervas E. Assey ha conseguito un master in chimica presso la Hampton University e un dottorato in chimica inorganica presso la Howard University. Attualmente lavora come docente senior di chimica presso l'Università Cattolica di Mwenge nel dipartimento di Scienze Naturali e Tecnologie dell'Informazione, a Moshi, in Tanzania.
