Nicholas Dorrell studied History and War Studies at Wolverhampton University. He works as a tutor in Worcestershire. He has published many articles on military history and contributed to several other works. He has been interested in the Marlborough's era for 20 years and has published several books covering this fascinating period. He concentrates on little know aspects, battles or campaigns of the time. Previous works have covered the 1710 campaign in Iberia, the Russian campaigns of 1708-09 and the Russo-Ottoman war of 1711.
