"Pharmaceutical Technology: A Practical Manual" discusses the techniques used in manufacturing and evaluation of different dosage forms in simple and easy to understand manner with the support of theory and experiments. Dr. Sushama Talegaonkar has more than18 years experience in teaching and research. Currently she is with Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Jamia Hamdard. She did her B. Pharm followed by M. Pharm and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (MP). Dr Talegaonkar has filed 8 Indian patents and published more than 145 research papers in high impact factor International journals and 25 papers in National journals. Besides this, she has co-authored four books and authored 8 chapters in reference books. She has presented papers in 34 National and International conferences and participated in more than 40 symposia and workshops. She has travelled to Canada, United Kingdom and Singapore to present her research papers. Recently, she has been conferred the "UGC Research Award. 2014-2016. She has also received Best Paper Award in Pharmaceutics for article published in IJPER by APTI in its 18th Annual National Convention 2013. She has also received most cited research paper award on behalf of Elsevier and board of European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics. She was awarded prestigious Motan Devi Dandiya Biennial Prize for best publication in Pharmaceutical Sciences for the period 2010-11. She was Awarded "Certificate of Merit" by Prof. Prem Chand Dandiya Endowment Trust, Biennial prizes awards 2004-05. Dr. Talegaonkar has so far supervised 10 Ph.D. and 30 Post Graduate students. Her research interests include development of various nano drug delivery systems for biomedical applications, Bioavailability enhancement of various anticancer drugs by efflux transporter modulation, and enhanced topical and transdermal drug delivery. She is actively involved in developing wide variety of smart and functionalized nano drug delivery systems for targeted anticancer drug delivery. She has executed research projects sponsored by various national funding agencies like University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education and Department of Biotechnology. She is a member of many professional societies like IPGA, IPA, APTI, IHPA, INS etc., and reviewer of many International and National journals.
