The topic covered in this book is the phytochemical studies of two plants, Trichopus zeylanicus and Samadera indica. Trichopus zeylanicus is an endangered plant found mainly in the Western Ghats of India. From folk knowledge, it was understood that Trichopus zeylanicus has many potential activities such as rejuvenating power, antifatigue ability etc. By doing this research, the researcher isolated three phytocomponents from Trichopus zeylanicus. Antioxidant activity of different parts of Trichopus zeylanicus in different solvents in various activity assays, collectively concluded that Trichopus zeylanicus plant extracts are highly active to these assays. Out of the various solvents used, methanol extracts of Trichopus zeylanicus was found to have more antioxidant activity
