At present, more than 150 plant species with a sugar-lowering effect are known, but their wide use in the complex therapy of diabetes is limited due to the poorly studied hypoglycemic action. Therefore, we considered it expedient to reveal plants with a sugar reducing action, create a new antidiabetic collection on their basis, obtain extracts containing the sum of biologically active substances, study their pharmacological action on the experimental DM course and reveal mechanisms of their multicomponent antidiabetic action. A medicinal collection - phytocomplex "Antidiabetes" was created. When compiling the collection were also taken into account factors that indirectly contribute to an increase in blood glucose levels. These are mainly inflammatory processes in the liver, increased excitability of the nervous system, changes in the functional state of the kidneys, etc.

Rena Enverkizi Jafarova, Doktor der biologischen Wissenschaften, Leiterin der Abteilung für Toxikologie des Wissenschaftlichen Forschungszentrums, außerordentliche Professorin an der Abteilung für Pharmakologie der Medizinischen Universität Aserbaidschan. Autor von mehr als 100 wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten. Leiterin von zwei wissenschaftlichen Förderprojekten und des Projekts "Frauen in Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft".
