Chapter V presents the synthesis of various substituted azepines and quinoline derivatives of phenoxazine fused carbazoles (and azacarbazole). The chapter VI describes the results obtained on in vitro screening of ten representative members selected from each class to study their antibacterial and antifungal activity.

Dr. Navjeet Kaur was born in Punjab, India. She received her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Punjab University, Punjab, India (2008), M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry at Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India (2010) and obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2013 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. She is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry.
